Methodology
- 1Salary disclosure is mandatory to publish a job on TaskBider, so every approved listing contributes a real, employer-stated pay range rather than a scraped guess.
- 2Bands are recompiled each quarter from three inputs: approved TaskBider listings, direct freelance offers reported by candidates on the platform, and publicly visible marketplace rates for the same role and software.
- 3US figures are the baseline. Other countries are derived by applying a market index (how that market prices against the US) and then converting with the quarter's average exchange rate.
- 4Bands are published as ranges, rounded to avoid false precision, and labelled as estimates. They are negotiation benchmarks, not guarantees or offers.
- 5Countries with thin sample size inherit their regional index rather than being reported as a standalone measurement.

Dataset FAQ
Can I cite or reuse TaskBider rate data?
Yes. The dataset is published under CC BY 4.0: reuse the figures, tables and JSON endpoints freely as long as you credit "TaskBider CAD & BIM Rate Dataset 2026 (taskbider.com/data)" with a link back to taskbider.com/data.
Where do the CAD/BIM rate figures come from?
Three inputs, recompiled quarterly: approved TaskBider job listings (salary disclosure is mandatory to publish), direct freelance offers reported by candidates, and publicly visible marketplace rates for the same role and software. US figures are the baseline; other countries apply a market index and the quarter's exchange rate.
Is there a free API for CAD and BIM salary data?
Yes. Four read-only JSON endpoints are open with no key and no rate limit: /api/public/data/dataset, /api/public/data/rates, /api/public/data/countries and /api/public/data/software.
How current is the dataset?
The current release is version 2026.1, covering Q1 2026 and last revised 2026-03-31. A new version is published each quarter and the previous figures are superseded rather than deleted from the record.
Are these figures guaranteed pay rates?
No. They are estimated negotiation benchmarks derived from observed listings and offers, published as ranges and rounded to avoid false precision. Individual offers vary with seniority, scope, LOD and client market.
