What cookies are
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We also use browser local storage for your session and language choice, which works the same way in practice. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Cookies we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase auth token | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in and identifies your account on protected pages. | Session / until sign-out |
| Language preference | Strictly necessary | Remembers whether you chose English, French or Arabic, including text direction. | Up to 1 year |
| _ga | Analytics | Google Analytics — distinguishes visitors to count unique sessions. | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_<id> | Analytics | Google Analytics — maintains session state for this property. | Up to 2 years |
Strictly necessary cookies
These keep you signed in and preserve your language and reading direction. Blocking them breaks sign-in, the dashboard and job posting, so they cannot be switched off from within the site.
Analytics cookies
Google Analytics tells us which pages and traffic sources work, in aggregate. We do not use it to identify individuals. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, by blocking analytics cookies in your browser, or by enabling your browser's tracking protection.
Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its privacy or site-settings panel. Blocking all cookies will stop you from signing in to TaskBider.
Third parties
If you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies on its domain under its own policies. Outbound "Apply" links take you to the employer's site, which sets its own cookies.
