Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 August 2026
TaskBider ("we", "us") operates taskbider.com, a remote job board for CAD, BIM and technical drafting professionals. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Last updated 24 August 2026.
Who we are
TaskBider is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@taskbider.com for any privacy request.
What we collect
- Account data. Email address, and — if you sign in with Google — the name and profile picture Google shares with us.
- Candidate profile data. Anything you choose to add: name, headline, bio, location, languages, software skills, seniority, portfolio link and avatar.
- Employer data. Company name, company domain and the content of the roles you post.
- Job-alert data. Email address plus the keywords, country and contract type you asked us to match on. You can subscribe to alerts without creating an account.
- Usage data. Pages viewed, referring source, approximate country, device type and browser — collected in aggregate through analytics.
Why we use it
- To create and operate your account and dashboard.
- To publish job listings and, where you opt in, candidate profiles.
- To send the job alerts and digests you requested.
- To verify employers before their roles go live.
- To measure which pages and sources work, so we can improve the site.
- To prevent abuse, spam and fraudulent listings.
We rely on your consent for job alerts and marketing email, on contract performance for account and posting features, and on legitimate interests for security and aggregate analytics.
Public information
Candidate profiles are readable by anyone when published — treat them as public. Approved job listings are public by design and may be indexed by search engines. Your email address is never shown on a public profile or listing.
Email and alerts
Job-alert email is sent only to addresses that asked for it. Every digest contains a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing stops all alert email immediately. We do not sell or rent email addresses, and we do not send third-party advertising email.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns. It sets cookies in your browser and processes a truncated IP address to estimate your country. We also set a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to opt out.
Who we share data with
We share only what a service needs to function: our hosting and database provider, our transactional email provider (to deliver alerts), our analytics provider, and Google (only if you choose Google sign-in). We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data where legally required.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Where required, transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
How long we keep it
- Account and profile data: until you delete your account.
- Job listings: retained for the public record of the board.
- Alert subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, then kept in a suppression record so we do not email you again.
- Aggregate analytics: up to 14 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or delete your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You can edit or delete most data yourself from your dashboard. For anything else, email hello@taskbider.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
TaskBider is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to the database is restricted by row-level security policies, and passwords are stored hashed by our auth provider. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes
If we make a material change we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify registered users by email.
