How to prepare
- Work through the official Autodesk exam objectives list and score yourself honestly on each line.
- Rebuild a small real project end to end — model, sheets, schedules, printed set — against a deadline.
- Practise the tasks you avoid at work: stairs and railings, curtain wall panels, nested families, phasing.
- Time yourself. Most failures are pace, not knowledge; candidates run out of time on the performance tasks.
- Learn the shortcuts you use daily, so navigation is not eating your exam clock.
Is it worth it?
Worth it if you are applying to firms that filter CVs on certifications — common in the Gulf, and with staffing agencies feeding large contractors. It rarely raises pay on its own; a portfolio of coordinated models plus this certification is what moves an application from screened out to interviewed.
