What to watch out for

Paper space layouts and viewport scaling are not reproduced: the PDF covers the model-space extents of the geometry.
Fonts are substituted, so heavily annotated title blocks are better plotted from the CAD application.
Very large files (hundreds of thousands of entities) may take several seconds and a lot of memory in the tab.

DXF — Drawing Exchange Format

Autodesk's documented text interchange format for 2D/3D CAD geometry — readable by every CAD package and, unlike DWG, by open-source tools.

PDF — Portable Document Format

The fixed-layout sheet format clients and contractors expect for issued drawings.

Questions

Is the DXF uploaded to a server?

No. The parsing and PDF writing both run in JavaScript inside your browser, so the drawing stays on your computer.

Will my layers and line weights be preserved?

Layer colours come through; plot styles (CTB/STB) and lineweight tables are an AutoCAD plotting concept and are not applied. For an issued, stamped sheet, plot from AutoCAD with your CTB.

What about DWG?

DWG is a closed binary format with no browser-safe reader. Save As DXF in AutoCAD first — the steps are on our DWG to PDF page.

Is there a file size limit?

Only your device's memory. Files up to roughly 50 MB convert comfortably on a modern laptop.
