How to convert EPS to SVG
EPS is PostScript — a printing language, not a data format — so turning it into SVG means interpreting a program, which needs a PostScript engine rather than a browser tab. Inkscape does it free in two clicks.
Why there is no uploader on this page
EPS is a closed format that no browser can read, so an in-page converter would have to send your file to a server. The procedure below does the job properly in the application that owns the format — and where a browser-side route exists, it is linked underneath.

- 1Inkscape (free): File → Open the .eps (install Ghostscript first on Windows, as Inkscape delegates PostScript parsing to it), then File → Save As → Plain SVG.
- 2Command line: `ps2pdf logo.eps logo.pdf` then `pdf2svg logo.pdf logo.svg`, or `inkscape logo.eps --export-type=svg`.
- 3Illustrator: open the EPS and File → Export As → SVG, ticking 'Convert text to outlines' if the font will not be available.
- 4Check the result at large zoom — traced or embedded raster content inside an EPS stays raster in the SVG.
- 5Run Plain SVG, not Inkscape SVG, when the file is going into a website or another application.

- Fonts are the usual failure: without the font installed, text reflows or disappears. Outline text before converting.
- CMYK colours become RGB, so brand colours shift slightly. Set exact hex values afterwards.
- An EPS containing only a placed photo converts to an SVG that merely wraps that photo.
