CAD & BIM file version converters
"Save it down to 2013" is one request; "downgrade this Revit model" is a different problem entirely. Each page below states plainly whether the version can be lowered, the exact procedure that works, and what the file loses on the way — no uploads, because none of these formats can be rewritten in a browser.
AutoCAD
Yes — DWG can be saved down, and it is free. AutoCAD's own SAVEAS, the free DWG TrueView (DWG Convert) or ODA File Converter all write older format codes without touching geometry.
Revit
No tool downgrades an RVT — Autodesk publishes no downgrade path and no third party can write the format. What works is re-issuing geometry through IFC, DWG or a rebuilt model, or getting the file from the author's earlier-version backup.
Civil 3D
Partly. The DWG container saves down like any AutoCAD drawing, but surfaces, alignments, profiles and corridors are Civil 3D objects — in an older release or plain AutoCAD they arrive as non-editable proxy graphics.
SketchUp
Yes — SketchUp Pro saves down. Save As and pick the earlier version; the free web version cannot, so there the route is an export format instead.
